Dr's Appointment: 18wk5d

Weight: +2lbs for a total of 6 lbs gain total
BP: 118/78 (a little high for me)
Heartrate: 152 BPM

I scheduled my appointment for as early as possible so I wouldn't have to wait, since my OB's office tends to fall behind schedule as the day progresses. I was there and 7:15 and I still didn't get seen until after 8:30. I guess he was on call all night and was in a c-section so I guess I forgive him, lol.

It was your normal appointment. I was excited since I only gained 2 lbs for a total gain of 6lbs so far. My bp was fine, urine was fine, baby sounded great, etc. I talked to him about my recent bouts of almost fainting. Twice in the last couple weeks I have almost passed out.

Once was at Cliff's amusement park so I blamed it on the heat, sun, and needing to eat. It happened again on Sunday. I was at the mall with the kids and it hit me. You know, that sweaty, dizzy feeling right before you hit the ground. I hurried to the foot court to get a drink and told the kids to sit down at a table right by me and to watch me. I told them if I passed out to call for help and tell whoever came that I was pregnant. While I was in line their little concerned eyes were GLUED to my back. It was so sweet, but I felt bad for worrying them.Anyway - the doctor said it was completely normal at this time and it usually means I have been on my feet for too long.

Let's see - I declined the screening for Down's Syndrome and whatnot and he gave me the referral for my ultrasound. I called and they had an opening for tomorrow morning, but of course, Dante can't take any time off this week because he is working overtime all week. He is not allowed to work OT and have leave in the same pay period. Boo. So I called back and rescheduled for his day off - Friday. It will work out better because we really want Trey and Devyn to be there and he can bring them with him and head home after.

I am starting to get really weak about not finding out the sex of this sweet baby. When that temptation is placed in front of you it is so hard to say, "no, it's okay, we really don't want to know right now". LOL. Dante is still pretty strong on not finding out so I am hoping he will pull us through. LOL I will have lots of pictures to share on Friday afternoon. The place we are going to does 3D and 4D ultrasounds and allows you to bring in a disc and they will record them for you. :) I remember going there with Natasha when she was pregnant with Cillian and it was so amazing. :)

I am also highly annoyed that Dr.Rowe will be out of the office and/or is booked when I need to go in for my next appointment and I have to see the crappy Nurse practicioner that has ZERO bedside manners. Grrr. I decided I better see her rather than waiting 7 weeks to be seen again, just in case.

I can't believe I am almost halfway there. I had Trey take my belly pictures on Sunday and I will upload them tomorrow. I have grown so much in the last 5 weeks!
